Leslie Odom Jr. Returns to Hamilton

“Returning to Hamilton and revisiting the role of Aaron Burr with the growth and perspective of time has been a profoundly healing artistic experience,” said Leslie Odom Jr., who is set to reprise his acclaimed role in the West End production of Hamilton.

The production will run at the Victoria Palace Theatre in London from July 3 to September 5, 2026, marking a significant return for Odom, who originally played Burr in the Broadway production and won a Tony Award for his performance.

Since its London debut in 2017, Hamilton has captivated audiences and garnered seven Olivier awards, solidifying its status as a landmark musical. The show, which features a book, music, and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda, tells the story of founding father Alexander Hamilton, detailing his contributions during the American Revolution and his personal life.

Cameron Mackintosh expressed his excitement about Odom’s return, stating, “I’m absolutely thrilled that London will now be able to share the experience of Leslie for a short season.” This sentiment reflects the anticipation surrounding the limited engagement, which promises to attract both new audiences and long-time fans of the musical.

Odom, who also appeared in the Disney+ film adaptation of Hamilton, described his upcoming West End debut as a significant moment, saying, “I am thankful to Cameron Mackintosh and Jeffrey Seller for the invitation to make my West End debut with this fabulous company.” His return is expected to bring a fresh perspective to the role, enriched by his experiences since he last performed it.

The current cast includes Alex Sawyer as Alexander Hamilton and Jay Perry as Aaron Burr, but casting for the company from June 15, 2026, will be announced soon. Priority booking for Odom’s engagement will open at 11am on Thursday, March 12, 2026, with general booking available from 11am on Friday, March 13, 2026.

As the excitement builds for this highly anticipated return, the Hamilton West End continues to be a focal point of London’s vibrant theatre scene, promising an unforgettable experience for audiences.
