Stefan Borson, a football analyst, expressed skepticism regarding Liverpool’s intentions, stating, “I think the surprising thing would be if they did that deal.” He further noted that it would be unusual for Liverpool to pay a substantial fee for a player they had loaned out.
Borson elaborated, “I find it very hard to believe that you would effectively pay the best part of €45m (£39m) to have loaned a player to another club for a year.” This skepticism reflects a broader uncertainty about Liverpool’s transfer decisions in the current market.
